HHL Architects was asked to do renovations and create a new entrance stair at the Tonawanda Indian Community Center. We rehabilitated the basement shower rooms, locker rooms, bathrooms, hallway walls and ceilings. We also saw that mold and mildew was present, therefore, a new ventilation system was installed.
We created a new west entrance of the building by repairing or replacing the concrete steps, landing and wall. We extended the existing half wall on the west side of the steps to prevent children from standing on it. We also poured new pavement under the pavilion, in front of the sheds, and to a recreation surface for the playground area.
