Following the successful 2013 West End Modernization clubhouse project, the Park Country Club determined that a complete renovation of the Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms was necessary. The locker rooms had last been renovated in 1991 and were tired and dated. The objective was for the design aesthetic to complement the recent WEM Runyan casual dining room and bar addition interiors. The design and construction, completed in early 2015 is consistent with the Arts and Crafts style exemplified within the main clubhouse spaces.

The Men’s Card Room was expanded in size to suit member demand. A Women’s Card Room/Lounge area was carved out of the modest footprint. Due to budget constraints and time, existing 600+ oak lockers in Men’s and Women’s Locker Room were refinished a new stain color, with new shoe lockers added above the men’s to reduce visible clutter. Men’s and Women’s wet areas were completely gutted without change in fixtures configuration to reduce costs. New patterned carpet, stone tile floor/wall finishes, millwork cabinets with stone counters and plumbing fixtures were installed throughout in both locker rooms. New acoustic ceilings and decorative lighting completed the major transformation.
