HHL performed selective room upgrades at Chautauqua’s historic Athenaeum Hotel. The first, in 2013, which included the renovation of five guest rooms, the second in 2017, and included ten guest rooms. All rooms were evaluated for code compliance and brought up to meet code where necessary.

Renovations included a refreshed interior finish scheme for guest rooms and bathrooms complete with new fixtures, furniture, and equipment. The design incorporated a mix of contemporary and classic furnishings which refreshed the look and feel of the rooms while preserving the historic character of the hotel.
