A comprehensive study evaluated the museum’s existing conditions quantitatively and qualitatively, resulting in a program for maximizing the present 1929 building and constructing an addition. The site, in a Frederick Law Olmsted designed park, is preserved by expanding over the adjacent depressed expressway and further reconnecting severed neighborhoods.
