In 2007, HHL Architects began working with the Buffalo Museum of Science on a planning study that investigated the design and restoration of the main entrance plaza and two levels of lobby space. Following the study, in 2014, HHL Architects then developed a facade restoration plan for the Museum which was funded by the City of Buffalo.
In 2020, we developed restoration plans and specifications to make the original, deteriorated, tiered plaza usable and accessible, also enabling accessibility and programmatic use via the historic front entry doors.
