The White House residence is a 1970’s era modernist glass and stucco structure. Our client hired HHL Architects to design a two-car garage addition with a roof top deck while maintaining the original modernist design characteristics of the home. The new garage addition is a one story square structure that connects to the existing home by a glass walkway.

The roof structure is designed to act as an outdoor space that you access from the master bedroom with a view of the Cazenovia Creek. A pre-cultivated roof garden encompasses half of the roof to limit the amount of rain runoff on the site and provides the owner with a garden view from their bedroom. The opposing side of the roof is finished with Ipe decking which leads to an outdoor hot tub and sitting area.
