The new Police building in Niagara Falls is designed to take the place of the old barracks that occupied a portion of the Cave of the Winds Pavilion. The 9,000 square foot building opened in June of 2016 and is the first new standalone Park Police Barracks in New York State.

The one-story facility is designed to maximize efficiency and to meet all the functional demands of the Niagara Region Force. Centrally located administrative space is flanked by locker and training rooms on one side, and by the booking department and rescue room on the other. Other programmatic spaces include an armory, radio room and fitness center. The one-story hip roof structure is designed with a stone masonry base and clapboard siding. A primary feature of the building is the large windowed cupola with skylight that provides abundant natural light in the double loaded corridor within. Large ribbon windows offer views of the park.
