This new construction bathhouse at Fort Niagara State Park is designed to enhance the patron experience with a comfortable and safe facility. The building was designed with features that are sensitive to the park with a roof line that references the old fort’s south redoubt located adjacent to the storehouse.

The building footprint, on the shore of Lake Ontario, enhances public access to the main pool complex via a promenade approach to a covered central portico, where the ticket transaction booth is located to create a defined sense of arrival. Inside are separate men’s and women’s locker room pavilions, changing rooms, showers, and toilet facilities, all fully accessible. In addition, the pool proper is visually served by the lifeguard/first aid station amenities.
