HHL Architects designed the renovation of an outdated, abandoned Buffalo Public School, built in 1956, for the expansion of the Elmwood Village Charter School. Interior and exterior updates were implemented as well as the design of a canopy over the main entrance to delineate the new pick-up and drop-off zone.
Other work that was performed at the school included extensive upgrades to the heating and cooling systems, renovation of the gym, roof renovation, masonry repair work, replacement of the chain link fence, updates to the playground area, new landscaping, new signage, and repair and patching of existing concrete stairs and retaining walls.
