HHL Architects was selected to design renovations to the recently opened St. John Baptist Hospice House. The first of its kind in the nation, the St. John Baptist/Hospice Buffalo House is a place of comfort and care for patients in their final months or weeks of illness. This eight (8) bed house provides a serene home-like environment for Hospice patients who are unable to remain at home. St. John Baptist/Hospice Buffalo House is a place that celebrates life and supports patients and their loved ones.

The goals for this project are to convert the existing eight (8) house beds into inpatient-care style beds, with the strategic insertion of med gas and the addition of support facilities, including a commercial kitchen, meditation chapel and improved nurse station.
