HHL Architects was selected to design renovations to the recently opened St. John Baptist House. The first of its kind in the nation, the house is a place of comfort and care for patients in their final months or weeks of illness. This eight-bed house provides a serene home-like environment for Hospice patients who are unable to remain at home.

The goals for this project were to convert the existing eight house beds into inpatient-care style beds, with the strategic insertion of medical gas and the addition of support facilities, including a commercial kitchen, meditation chapel and improved nurse station.
