HHL Architects developed concept plans to rejuvenate a derelict urban park at the juncture of Edward Street, Virginia Street and North and South Elmwood Avenue in the city’s historic Allentown District. Two options were developed; Concept ‘A’ focused on creating an improved circulation path through the park linking North and South Elmwood at a central gathering place. Concept ‘B’ was developed as a more sculpture-based idea that an urban park can also be an art form.
