HHL Architects, with Duryea and Wilhelmini, developed a comprehensive development plan for the restoration and revitalization of this 368-acre city park designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Primary tasks included re-evaluation of the park and planning for contemporary recreational requirements, coordination with concurrent development large scale design efforts for the lake and the zoo, and preparation on funding documents including an environmental assessment. Construction projects were planned to be phase to permit implementation over a five-year period.
